I think Prince should shut up already about that topic. He use to do the same also swearing. Now, all of the sudden it's a bad thing. It does not matter why he did this or what he was trying to prove...the point is he use to do the same thing so he should not be judgmental. Anyway most of these artist(s) have nothing else to go on but their looks. In just 1 year some of them are not even heard of anymore.

On a serious note. Some seem to fail to see Prince's way of operating. When Prince does something, if it's cool or not, He get's behind it 100%. Except for his relationships maybe. To seem good at what U do, U must exude CONFIDENCE. That is something Prince is VERY good at. Hell, he still says to this day that New Power Soul is an excelent album. I often read in books that when an album is being worked on, his style, colors, friends, workmates, all have a part in what is to come and he surrounds himself with it. That's all he's doing with this cussing bit. He's just getting behind it 100% to show confidence and true belief in what he's promoting. And with all honesty. Thw man is 46 or 47 or whatever. He's married to a beautiful wife. There's no need for him to run around Singing Pussy Control or Head. Theres not much style in that for a 46 or 47 year old. And I'm sure his wife knows that he gives/recieves Head without announcing it so blantantly on-stage with a female guitarist kneeling in front of him. There's just no style.
