Hey Why Prince takes SO MUCH time to produce For You album ???

'twas his very first serious studio recording...that, and his perfectionism had a lot to do with it as well.

and don't forget it was 1978...studio technology might not have been quite as user friendly as it is now, and getting a record out of the studio and into wrecka stows might not have been quite as zippy a process, either.
