There's also a 12" vinyl version out there. . .

That's true--released in Europe only. I have it. Can't quite remember from which country though.

Jedimaster, its definitely Candy playing sax on the version of this song released during the Batman-era
1) the liner-notes state it (duh)
2) I have ears...its candy....and she does a good job on this tune

Poor thing...

Feel U Up was recorded in October 1986 and briefly placed on a project called "Camille".

Prince met Candy Dulfer on the Lovesexy tour in 1988.

You do the math.

1) the liner notes refer to 'Partyman' not 'Feel U Up'

2) your ears are mistaken, it's definitely Eric.

Yes it does! I saw it once in a CD store in Tacoma Washington. It was on a 3" CD for $10.00 . I did not buy it at the time and I am kicking myself for it. Try looking on "euromusicworld.com". Good Luck.

You're not paying attention. The liner notes are talking about "Partyman". I had this outtake long before Prince met Candy (he met her in 1988, the version on the b-side of PM was recorded in 1986 as part of the "Camille" sessions.

As stated NUMEROUS times, the style isn't remotely Candy's, nor is it the alto sax that Candy plays. The sax on "Feel U Up' is a baritone, which is what Eric plays. For that matter, just compare the two sax sounds from "Partyman" and "Feel U Up". The one on PM (which is undeniably Candy) is an alto, and has Candy's signature sound. The one on FUP is a baritone, and is consistent with Eric's playing on other recordings from that era.

There is definitely a long version on 12" vinyl. I have a copy of it, it was very hard to find.
