I know this is going to have people going crazy, but I've heard lots of pros and cons, attacks and defenses for both albums, so have fun with it!

i like chaos & disorder, but i LOVE the come album.

I tend to like both of them for different reasons, depending on my mood, as my favorite Prince material is his darker, wierder stuff.

Here's why I like "Come"

1) the synths and overall dark groove and disturbing imagery in Pheremone
2) the dark techno with rock guitars in "Loose"
3) the vocals in "Come"-particularly at the end
4) the organic groove of "Space" with the "T-minus 60 seconds and counting"
5) the dark imagery of "Papa"

Here's why I like "Chaos"
1) the raw, in your face guitars show his chops more than many of his other records
2) the angry bitterness and of "Dig U Better Dead" with the electronic sounds
3) the vocal harmonies and confrontational lyrics of "I Rock..."
4) the feel change and guitar work of "The Same December"
5) the acoustic piano intro of "Into the Light"

It's all about Come...I rarley listen to Chaos and Disorder...although I'm sure later on I will get into it...

I can't say which is better in terms of quality because they are similar in that respect. I play Chaos all of the time and Come is a cd without a case on my coffee table.

I can't abide the "Come" album. "Chaos" is better, but still far from good.

** I love C&D! Too bad I Rock... and Dig U... had to be on it.

I think i'd probably have to go for Chaos & Disorder.

I love both albums hugely but...if I had to say which songs i would be liable to hit the 'next' button on my CD player for, it'd be "i rock therefore..." on C&D, and on Come it'd be Solo and Orgasm. 1 song vs 2.

Also, the released version of Come blows. Compared to other versions, that is. If I hadn't heard them i'd probably think it was a cute, funky-lite song, but unfortunately I know what song could have been on the LP.
