I own one. I have no idea where it is at the moment. I'm really fuzzy on the details because I haven't read it in years, but Prince hooks up with this chick named Muse, and he stops some bad dudes from going on a crime spree. Or something. He's playing superhero.
My only distinct memory is when Muse said to him "You really do think you're Batman, don't you?" [Edited 4/11/05 22:52pm] "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

1. Prince: 'Alter Ego'
Tale involving Prince and his alter ego and rival musician, Gemini. 2. Prince and the New Power Generation: Three Chains O' Gold Adventure tale based around the three chains and Princess Mayte Both published by Pirahna Music . ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

There's also a "Rock & Roll" comic devoted to Lil'Man's illustrious career. It was the Feb 21, 1990 issue published by Revolutionary Comics.
As a bonus, the last couple of pages of the book are about George Clinton and the P-Funk. Good stuff...

This one is by Revolutionary comics. It was done (as all of their comics were) without the artist's permission. Simply a biography (and not a very good one at that) featuring really bad artwork.
Alter-Ego was the debut of the now-defunct Pirahna Music (also called Pirahna Press) imprint. It told the story of Prince fighting his "evil" twin, Gemini. Gemini is a bulkier, GB era looking Prince (who wears a baphomet pentagram instead of a symbol necklace!). He hypnotises the NPG, and its up to Prince to stop him before he takes over the minds of the world! Yes, it basically depicts Prince as this bad-ass action hero (no really! Stop laughing! I'm serious!). This was used as a tie-in to the Diamonds & Pearls album Three Chains O' Gold basically told the story of the album in comic form (although it differs considerably from the tale told in the video collection of the same name). This one has Prince foiling an evil plot by a would be dictator. A little more enjoyable than Alter-Ego, if for no other reason than it has a sense of humour about itself (its still pretty silly though!). This was originally intended as a tie-in with the album, but for whatever reason got delayed almost two years. --- [Edited 4/12/05 6:57am] Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. I bought some of these 2-3 years ago on ebay. They weren't too expensive. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I had all of these at one time, but gave them to an actual Prince collector a few years back. The artwork on all of them was atrocious.

The images above show the original Pirahna issues.
'Alter Ego' was also issued and printed under licence in other countries. In the UK it was issued by Titan Publications (larger format than the US imprint) and was accompanied by a free circular pin badge bearing an image of a 'Symbol' on it. . I got all three just two years ago. Someone here posted a link to a site that carried them all. I think it was something like "rock and roll comics." They even had Michael Jackson comic books. **************************************************

The "Gemini" one (Alter-Ego) was official. The only one not approved by Prince was the Revolutionary Comics one. Both Pirahna books were endorsed by Prince, Paisley Park and WB.
