The newest edition to the NPG is Renato Neto. Those of you who experienced ONA live know that he is INCREDIBLE on the keys. Crazy sci-fi sound effects. Does anyone know his background? I've searched with no luck. I was wondering if he had any albums or played with another band before the NPG. Thanks!

I've only read that he is an established jazz musician in his own right, but have never heard any of his music.
And you're correct, i saw him play with Prince last fall out at Paisley the first weekend they played to an audience at PP. It was like he had played with Prince for years.

He's on Shelia E's "Writes of Passage"

Renato was a member of Sheila E.'s band.

MARCO MENDOZA:
bass and vocals (what a voice!) - and a lot of strange sounds and plenty of dancing. How many pairs of shoes does this guy wear out in a year ?!?! And all of his energy is natural since he recently celebrated 13 years without drinks or drugs !

JOEY HEREDIA:
hot,hot,hot drummer with a razor sharp groove!
Have played with Stevie Wonder, Sheila E and many, many more.....

RENATO NETO:
keyboards. Have played with Sheila E, and a lot of the greatest Brazilian artists.


Their music is a jazz/rock/funk/westcoast kind of mix with a lot of covers (with a definite twist!) as well as their own material.

As all three guys have latin background (Marco and Joey from Mexico and Renato from Brazil) their music has a lot of latin influences.

If you don´t already have their CD "Live in L.A" then buy it immediatelly !!!!

Straitjacket have been touring a lot as a band for Michael Ruff and have also toured on their own in Canada,South America,Europe and are often and very well seen guests in Scandinavia.

Levi Seacer, Jr. and Boni Boyer were Sheila E. band members.
