thumbs up!

pre 1984 Prince was definitely his most exciting period.

Just an aside here, question for Vainandy. How rare is Cold Blooded on CD? I guy has offered it to me for £30 ($55 roughly). Should I buy it?

It's probably very rare. I've never seen it on CD, I have mine on vinyl.

Yeah, I've got it on vinyl too. I'll probably buy it on CD, and then Motown will reissue it. confused

It's a great album, but I think people took issue with the sound effects because they sound tacked on and unecessary. Could you imagine Joni's Blue with all kinds of extraneous sounds popping up here and there?

i so wish this album would be availible on its own without the rest of 'crystal ball'. They should do that on NPGMusicClub.

i think it should finally stand alone at the download store, but it was only one person who requested karmasutra at the music club and they got it the next week, so even though the forums can be annoying, perhaps if enough people post they'll put it up

i honestly don't understand how people can dislike this album, i'm not saying they're "wrong" or looking for a fight, i just love it that much. its "possibly" my favourite prince album, perhaps sign or parade is above it. but thats about it. maybe trc. fuck, i can't get into a list right now, needless to say i genuinely love it

i'm quite surprised at the vehemence levelled at animal kingdom, i think its a really funny song - funky funky blue cheese. its so tongue in cheek, theres alot of humour on the album, but the song "come back" is really upsetting, if i get that song stuck in my head it just makes me wanna cry (cos its so touching not cos its shit you cynical cynical person! smile )

also surprised people hate the sound effects, i love em. very funny in fascination and on the other songs, like someone else on the thread said, i just think they add to the atmosphere
