Great tune but hopefully the new album has more flavors on it than just chocolate.
Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.

Anybody know what happened to this song.? It was a live single a couple of days ago. When I ttried to download it, I keep getting errors. Then about a day or two ago, I went back to download it and Glasscutter and Satisfied had disappeared. Did he move to another part of the site or was it one of those fluke promotions?

How can U surmise this from a minute and a hald live recording. And honestly, to me, that minute and a half is a bit dissapoiting. While it is good I s'pose. I don't see how U can say it's the BEST material Prince has put out in the last 10 years. It wasn't even the best material presented on that stage that night. Stop trying to pretend that something is better than it is to validate your level of fandom. When someting sucks by Prince...I'm the first to admit it. I don't start crazy threads like this.

As far as I can tell, it's still all there. R U using a mac? If not, clear your cache and re-visit the site.

Unless the song abruptly changes into something else, then I would agree. But, a minute of a pop/soul song is enough time to get the feel of it. This isnt a fucking symphony.

AND, it is easily the best work of his in the last 10 years. Name something better. Besides Musicology, what Prince classic does he perform in the musicology tour that he recorded in the last ten years? None.

nod

exactly i can think of a few P tunes that start out amazing and then seem to totally rearange themselves 2 minutes into the song.

it is a good tune tho...so far.

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

How about something even more recent:
"The One".

There's 2 answers for ya right there...I'm not going to waste time for a third. Most any1 can tell that this is an unecassary clone of On The Couch.

I get an Adore vs. crucial feeling from this situaion. And anyone that tels U crucial wins is a damn fool.

quick note. I didn't even bother to capitalize the c in crucial.

I'll tell you that besides Adore, which isn't in the last 10 years, those referrences are weak. Yeah, he played Shhh at the tour, so u got me there, but its up there with "Strange Relationship." Its not a Prince classic.

Sorry, but Satisfied wins.

What's so great about Satisfied to you?

It's just On The Couch II.
The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Hmmm, if I was never a fan of "On the Couch," then it must not be too similar to it.

Just because on the couch is slow and Prince's does his falsetto thing doesn't = Couch 2.

Satisfied is great cause its structured in an excellent style with lively lyrics. Like "Its time to send your company home...., Turn off your cellphone, etc." Also the tension in the song rises in this to the point of a classic Prince falsetto, instead of a continious whine of being stuck in the doghouse or on the couch.

And I haven't mentioned the horns.
