i have no intention of condoning drug use, nor do i have any intention of judging those who use drugs.

if you come into my house snorting lines and huffing on a glass pipe with a damn needle sticking out of your arm, i'm gonna ask you to turn it right back around and go home. it's not the kind of thing i like around me or in my home - but what you do at your home is your business.

i've dealt with too many people around me who have used various substances and had problems, and believe it or not, a few people who have used and not had problems. if my experiences were as simple as drug user = loser, life might be a lot easier, i don't know. but life isn't that simple. so i don't judge. and because i don't judge, i've had a lot of friends who have taken drug use too far come to me to ask for support. and that makes me feel better than judging the people i care about.

just how i do things, i guess.

Hmmm..makes sense. I wish I had that much of a non judgemental view on it but I don't. I really don't like hard drugs and think people who do it are losers. When I find out someone uses drugs I want to spend even less time with them. I guess I am around alot of girls who abuse substances so that makes me see upclose how it destroys lives.

when you have to call one of your best friends' parents and tell them to come get their child because their drug use is out of control, and when you have to visit that friend in a psych ward and take them to their first NA meetings, you get a different view of things. people don't abuse drugs because they think it would be neat to be a "loser", as you put it. people hurt. and if i can help people not hurt and be okay, just by being a friend who accepts the good and the bad of those i care about, then hey. it's a friend i haven't lost.

but then, in general, i think judging people sucks, unless someone's rude and annoying. in that case, i'd be happy to compile a detailed list of personality flaws and share the data with anyone willing to listen.
