What's your favourite A/B-side combination? For those of you who remember the 12" single, back in the days when we used to all get as excited about a new B-side track as we did about the extended/remixed A-sides, I'm interested to hear what everyone's top 3 favourite A and B-side combinations are.
Mine are: Mountains(extended)/Alexa De Paris Housequake/Shockadelica Pop Life/Hello

Hmmm, whatever happened to those classics. My faves...
When Doves Cry / 17 Days (As good as anything on the Purple Rain album) Let's Pretend We're Married / Irresistable Bitch (We're not going to hear a song like this again!) Raspberry Beret / She's Always In My Hair (The most prominent of Prince's "hair fetish" songs!) (BTW Incognito - B Side to Kiss was Love Or Money - some funky Camille shit) Also liked Scarlet Pussy - gotta be in the right mood for it though... Everybody is special. Everybody. Everybody is a hero, a lover, a fool, a villain. Everybody. Everybody has their story to tell.

Okay, some "I know better" :
Shockadelica was the b-Side of If I Was Your Girlfriend and Housequake was b-side of I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man. So the combination Housequake/Shockadelica is questionable in this sense. And Camille... is every song with a speed up voice a Camille track? So that would make songs like Automatic and Erotic City also tracks with a Camille appearance? Whatever - Love or $ is some funky shit indeed.

Hey WB, those are my exact 3 choices... although I don't have the Let's Go Crazy single. The When Doves Cry and Raspberry Beret 45s were the only Prince 45s I've ever owned back in the 80s. Loved them!!!

we want to relive the Hysteria & Pandemonium we experienced when Purple Rain was Hot. Actually, he doesn't care if it happens again or not.

#1 always will be "Let's Go Crazy" b/w "Erotic City".
2) "Raspberry Beret" b/w "She's Always In My Hair" 3) "Pop Life" b/w "Hello" LGC & EC is the one that REALLY got me into Prince's music. I was a fan before, but then I discovered the b-sides and realized how phenominal he was/is. Erotic City just blew me away back in '84.
