Back when Prince first started out he had a huge young female fan base mostly A because he was sexy and B because he wrote sexy songs. Now that he is older and doesn't sing about making love all the time do you think his young female fan base has shrunk considerably? Looking at Musicology fan photos alot of the women are about his age, and along with their husbands and probably have kids now. Back in the eighties I would say half of the crowds were always young, sexy women. Back in the day groupies probably would would kill to meet him but now how many young women would be scratching eachother's eyes out to get backstage?

It would be nice to think they are, since I am a young man (14) and I would love to meet a young female Prince obsessionist in my area to hang with sometime.

well, im a 15 year old female. iv been a prince fan for as long as i can reamber, my mom grew up with prince and she showed me prince. iv been to so many prince concerts, iv been to paisley park, iv been to 1 of the "one night alone" shows, and i went to 3 musicology shows!!! i love prince, hes so amazing!!!!!

Oh RazzBeret....aren't you a sweetie...I hope you noticed that there were some young females your age that had something to say here.....If you listen to some of Prince's songs he thinks he's not attractive and look what he has done for himself!!!!! Don't be so hard on yourself, attractiveness is TRULY in the eye of the beholder. I bet you have A LOT of friends....looks like you can even find some new ones here, obviously with the same interests....you never know unless you try....

P will always have fans no matter what age or gender... i done got 4 or 5 different people into him and one of em is my lil sister who is 17.

Prince's young fanbase in general has diminished over the years. It's to be expected. Even though Musicology did great, he is 46 years old and considered past his prime by emptee-vee and it's viewers. The majority of people going to the shows were hardcore fans and nostalgia-cases.

Of course, this year did bring in a lot of new fans. Having been into P. for 5 years, I've kinda lost that new-car smell, but I am young (nearly 20) and female.

I've loved Prince 4ever...I wrote my first fan letter when I was 8 years old...I'm 21 now...Razzberet not the exception...I was a Prince obsessed 15 year old on the old org...and in the holy river chat room...but I do remember always being the youngest...we're out here,we're probably just lurking around...looking for someone to understnad why we're obsessed with the little man...

Him and my moms are the same age-- I think he's attractive-- I found younger prince to be absolutely beautiful-- up til about the gold experience i was interested--

I never would have believed that people in their teens and 20s were into Prince until I joined this site. From seeing and hearing all the god awful boring music that most of them listen to on the radio and the video channels, I'm glad to see that some of them have some taste. I'm impressed.
