It was from an aborted soundtrack Prince worked on for some film Warners was developing, around '91 - '02. It was going to be a musical and the actors were going to sing the songs. It got as far as test screenings, which got such a poor response they changed the film from a musical and cut all the music and songs.
Some of the songs from the project did indeed end up on The Vault.

There's a lot of fakes too--like the infamous Prince & Gwen Stefani duet of "Dafodils and Roses."

It makes me think that I can take my voice recorder and throw in some background music and sound somewhat sexy and be interpreted as "Prince" by millions of filesharing users.

I always wondered if there's a bootleg of the original film with the music in it. I wish I had been in the test screening. I've only test screened one film in my lifetime, and I wish it could have been I'll Do Anything.
