I was in D.C. for the One Night Alone Tour. After the encore, the stage hands stated breaking down the stage, and people headed for the side exits - many people left the building.

I saw Santana walk on stage, and man did the stage hands rush to set things back up. In minutes Prince and Santana were playing Joy in Repetition.

It was pretty great - but you could tell is was ad-hoc - which made it kinda cool as well. Santana was in a baseball hat and jeans.
