No, Prince had a crush on Susanna Hoffs. On VH-1 she said there was not any real relationship between them.
Prince was with Wendy's sister Susannah Melvoin at the time.

Where in the hell did anyone get this idea that because Prince had girlfriends that he was just seeing them? I mean lisen to the guy's lyrics. That man had a ferocious sexual appatiete. Do you think a rich, good looking rock star at the time in the eighties is going to be turing down hot chicks left and right for one woman???? That guy loved to go out and bang chicks but because he was a rich good looking rock star I say why not? How many other men that are just average joes get to do that? Good for him for taking advantage of the situation because if he were working at McDondald's how many sexual opportunities do you think he would have? Good for you Prince for sowing your wild oats. 
Anyway him and Susannah Hoffs? I always thought like she did look like his type but I don't necessarily think he was her type. Maybe he tried to put the make on her and she was like  . I never thought they hooked up though. | |

ok, that's fucked up. if you want to sow your wild oats, be honest about it. I was saying prince wasn't above cheating, especially not back then. I wasn't condoning it and i damn sure wasn't praising it. quite frankly, i'm surprise that we've never heard about him having some sort of VD. That being said it would be very difficult (to say the least) to say no. he's just so damn sexy, even after all these years. i'd have to pray to the goddesses on that one. And as for Susanna not being his type, you may have something there as she obviously had some talent and more importantly intelligence. His choices in women don't usually portray a desire for challenge, more an obedient door-mat. Having said that however, they were engaged and the ballads she inspired are without doubt amongst his best. Definitely for me the most interesting of his women. | |
