Well, Thnx BET for continuing to show our man love, I remember last summer how "Call My Name" was in heavy rotation on BET and I loved the Interview they did with Prince for the Musicology 30 min broadcast show...it was really cool.

the r/b stations still play prince often from old school prince to 'call my name'...so he wouldn't be a stranger to anyone on 106 & Park!

When they world premiered the video 'Call my name', all of the kids in the audience was singing along to the song and even the two young ppl they interviewed said, they loved him and like his style, and was happy to see him bringing real music back.

I got that on tape!
So, it'd be real nice if Prince showed up on there to atleast say hello or perform a lil ditty!

Free and AJ often mention Prince and even had him as a phone in guest on their show right b4 Musicology came out.

Free has always stated how she loves prince's boot game and wants him to come on the show to compare boots.

So maybe the TRL kids wouldn't know who he was, and may say...oh my mom loves you...and i think your kinda cool (lol) because all they ever play on mtv is lindsay lohan, my chemical romance and green day!

so don't write prince off like that yo!

I have no problem telling people that Prince should go on 106th and Park AND TRL. The more exposure, the better plus I don't think that it would hurt him to go on those shows. It was cool to see Prince on TRL in 1999, though I will admit that the interview with Carson Daly was awkward. It would just be cool to see Prince perform on the shows and seeing the kids expressions afterwards. I hope it happens one day.

It would be nice to bring him on 106&Park. They've showed the 'Little Red Corvette' video as the 'old school joint of the day' one time. They may have showed others, but I dont' watch it everyday like that. Some kids may or may not know him, but it will always be good to bring him to light. It's not like he's not easy to like...

I saw the episodes of 106 And Park when they premired both Musicology and Call My name and the kids in the crowd were going crazy dancing to Musicology and singing the chorus of Call My Name so that just goes to show you that he has reached us young people from 16-21. Myke

Check the charts baby! -If the songs weren't played, then they wouldn't chart!
I live in detroit & work in radio...and all of the urban stations played Prince!

"Call My Name" was played on WJLB, 105.9Jamz, Mix 92.3, 102.7, & 107.5!
Of course out of all the above mentioned...92.3, 107.5 and 102.7, played this song often.
The single was in heavy rotation and 'Musicology' was the #1 Album in detroit.

And if I can remember, there was a list of radio stations who played the song...listed on the org.

So I don't really think Prince will end up as an old R&B staple like MAZE.
Maze can't even sell out an arena or get a #3 album on the pop charts and prince did this without the cds counted for his first two shows this year.

Why are you taking my comparision of Maza as a put down. Maze sells out a lot of venues and no they will never have a top 3 album because they can't get a record deal and they are not a pop group but, they are a great live RnB band and they are a staple of RnB radio just like Prince.
