NO!!! This is not a "is Prince gay thread". I was just wondering what Prince's take on Homosexuality is. In the 80's he wanted everyone of all races, and sexual orientations to party together. Does anyone know what he has said recently about this subject. I'm sure things have changed because of his religion. I've heard him say somethings in concert that have made me cringe a little and I know that I can't believe everything I read, has anybody heard or read anything recenlty.


p.s. Please don't flame me for this if it's been addressed in the past six months. I obviously missed it.

His Musicology show was the most diverse group of people i've ever seen in one venue, and only Prince can do it.

His religion may be against homosexuality, but he hasn't publicly said anything....

But before Prince knew this, he was kinda creeped out.

Of course, Prince isn't going to openly condemn gay folks, i'd go to a Kingdom Hall to get their take on it, you can bet it's more than likely Prince's current stance too.

Glam Rock/androgyny was part of Rock n Roll in the 80s, that does not make him gay or bi.

Thanks to his "religious conversion," Prince now dislikes homosexuals. Ain't that some shit?

The only time I've heard any hint of Prince looking down on homosexuality is through a couple of third-hand comments that may or may not have been mis-interpreted by 'witnesses'.

One was supposedly at a concert where a man shouted 'Prince I love you', to which Prince replied with 'That voice was waaaay too low' or words to that effect. And the other was apparently at a celebration where Prince saw a group of guys together and said that it worried him when he saw a group of men sitting together without any women.

Again, all third hand comments that are possibly true, possibly untrue or possibly just a case of people interpreting something in the wrong way.

If these things are true, then I'd say his views on the subject are simply immature rather than homophobic. I seriously doubt that Prince is homophobic or anti-gay in any way, even with his JW beliefs. Every JW that I know who knows I'm gay doesn't give a monkeys and will always ask about my other half whenever they meet me.

Anyhoo, back to his music and his lack of obviously condemning anybody.

I think in the past Prince has probably fooled around with men before and loved to toy with the public. Never coming out or saying anything also added to the mysterious image he loves to portray. The old days may have been the glam period, but Prince also had and still has gay gestures.

I've always admired Prince because if he is gay, he's not the stereotypical "weak" gay man.....he's a BITCH. Also, if he's straight, I admire him even more for never be insulted by people thinking he's gay and talking to the press to straighten out the so called "insult".

With his new Jehovah's Witness religion, I wouldn't be surprised if he turns homophobic and if he is gay, denying himself.
