I have heard that there is in addition 2 the studio version of electric Intercourse...a live version...is this true, what r the differnces, how long is the live version and is it easy 2 obtain..

There are only two live version from the August 3rd '83 1st Ave show, and the rehersal before it - no studio version.

There is a version of (I think) the rehersal where some of the chatter is taken out (by a fan) - but those are the only versions circulating (from memory there wasn't a stand-alone studio version).

I've heard a couple of people claim that there was in fact a studio version that was recorded, but nobody I know has heard it.

Anyway, it couldn't compare with the live 1st Ave version. So if you have that, you're all set.

According to 'The Vault' Prince took the live recording of the song and worked on it in the studio afterwards.
