Diana Ross Brought Prince To Motown??? I read somewhere that back in tha' day, before Prince was signed to Warner Brothers, Diana Ross said that she managed Prince and brought him to Motown, and recorded one album that was never released.
Does anyone know if this is true? Even though I know a lot about Prince's life and history, I'm not too sure about this one. U don't hear too much about his early career before WB. Thanks. Thanks! I've seen many of your posts around here, and your info is always accurate. So I definitely believe U! Now I would like to know how this rumor got started...hmm....a mystery. Anyone have any details on when this first came about? "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

. It was actually Gladys Knight. That's right. Everyone thinks that Diana Ross was the one that brought Prince and his brothers to Motown but it was really Gladys Knight. Andy is a four letter word. | |

I'm sorry...I had the intuition that this story was false, but I wasn't sure that's all. Don't laugh at me too hard. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

I heard it was Dionne Warwick and she didn't sign him, and Prince later made the song Dionne talking about this, that's what it says in my edition of the vault anyway.
