I was just wondering if anyone has seen the Prince tribute band in Las Vegas Purple Reign. If so, are they any good? Do they sound like the real thing? I was curious because I might be going there this summer and I wanted to know if I should see them.

seen them a few times...not half bad...worth the door price....(free)! there IS a 2 drink min.
jayson(prince) plays his own guitar...band is tight...but THEY look like no body....just jayson!! pretty close, in fact.

My friend... I just came from Vegas last month and these guys ROCKED! I thought that they were excellent and they did not disappoint at all. It was the closest to being with Prince for three hours and I highly, highly recommend going to see this show. You will enjoy it and you will come away with a feeling that you were entertained. By all means -- GO!

I f***ing LOVE Purple Reign. They r TIGHT. They do a different set every night and always throw in a couple of more obsure (although not too) obscure songs for the die hards. They usually have a hot Carmen Electra type dancer going on too. The last time I saw them, and this was the only time I've seen this, they had a Morris Day impersonator come on for the last few numbers. They did The Bird, Jungle Love (as a Prince/Morris) duet, and ended the show with an extended version of Cool where they took ladies from the audience and had them do a freak-off. I've never been disappointed yet. Also, in response to the above post, I think it's only a one drink minimum.
