Rate the NPGMC downloads With the redesign of the NPG music club I've talked myself into joining. I'm definately gonna download Slaughterhouse, Choclate Invasion and One Night Alone. But for someone who's got most of Prince's official output, including the No Doubt album (uggh!) and the Jimi Hendrix Tribute album (not bad!) but who dosen't feel the need to track down rare enough items like 1800-New Funk and Gold Nigga, What are the essential downloads? Are C-Note and Xenawhatever as bland as NEWS or are they worth a download? And what about all the single tracks? Do I really need this new version of Strange Relationship when it's already on SOTT and ONA Live?
Sorry it's called Xpectation, where did I get Xenaphobia from? [Edited 3/29/05 1:56am]

This is just my opinion but Xenophobia or whatever its called is worth downloading. I actually listen to that one a lot for some reason. Its not near as good as Madhouse but its still worth the $8.
C-Note is ok, I listen to Empty Room a ton...the rest of it...not so much. This version of Strange Relationship is my absolute favorite version of this song. I have the whole show and imo its the highlight. Its funky as all hell. I recommend this one...its better than the ONA live version. I don't know why Prince doesn't just put the whole show available for download...not just the song. The only single I have is United States of Division which is ok. It's good but not great (has kinda old school feel...like from 85 maybe...would've fit on ATWIAD imo). I also have Glass Cutter which is AWESOME. It was only available for a day a few months ago and I still listen to it all the time. I tacked it on with the Slaughterhouse songs and it just rocks. A snippet is on the home page. Its one of his funkiest and sexiest tunes in years. If that one comes up again...GET IT.
