"mystifying tone" in Prince songs?

My nephew has an English class project on "mystifying tones" in art, literature, and music. He is supposed to find a song, piece of artwork, and short story that convey a mystifying tone. My sister called me for an idea on music since she knows I know all of Prince's songs.

The tone should be mystifying in rhythm, speed, or texture. Any ideas?

mystify--to puzzle, perplex, confuse, befuddle, elude, surprise, bewilder

I was thinking about "If I Was Your Girlfriend" since its lyrics often confuse some persons. However, not sure how that fits into the rhythm, speed, or texture.

How about Prince's "There's Others Here with Us". Few songs are as mystifying as that one.

What about "Starfish and Coffee" or "Strange Relationship"?

What are the lyrics to "There's Others Here With Us"?

Hmm, what about Computer Blue or Temptation? They might fit the description.

Old Friends 4 Sale, Power Fantastic, Crystal Ball, Something in the Water may be good choices...

The song "There's Others Here With Us" is an outtake, rumored to have been written during the "Parade" era (1985ish). smile

I'd vote for Sex In The Summer, based on the sound of the heartbeat of Prince's unborn son.

Not really sure what album it is on, since that is a song that was never officially released. But I'll bet someone from the org will have that information. Anyone?
