well they say the BBC is supposed to be the number 1 broadcaster in the world, and they certainly have high standards compared to most. The listen again option on their website is very usefull indeed. Best documentary I've seen/heard on Prince so far.

A lot of British people moan because we have to pay for our broadcasting. It's about $6.00 for every household, every month and if you don't pay it, you can actually go to jail!!!

But... It's the one tax I don't mind paying. It covers numerous TV channels including BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three, BBC Four... PLUS All the bloody radio channels - which are like nine national stations with twenty-odd regional variations and the World Service. PLUS BBC Online which is humongous...

Also the license fee pays for Channel 4 which is a commercial operation but was set up by a 70s Labour government to provide an alternative to other network channels. I don't think many British people realise that Channel 4's advertising revenue goes directly to ITV. They have to make money through selling programming and program concepts to other television stations around the world.

I love the BBC and Channel 4. I love the Queen. I love the fact that we don't have a president. I love being British,

And yes, I love all those pop-culture documentaries on BBC Radio 2.

When did this air? Usually you can listen online for 7 days after a broadcast, but I can't find anything on the site about a Prince documentary.

I just heard parts 1 and 2 of the Prince story. It wasn't detailed, but at least it covered the major points of his career. I sure hope VH1 can do a behind the music special on him!!!
