I Love this song and it cracks me up every time I hear it. So many things about it...in that it has so many references in such a short period of time. It has a biblical reference to it mixed with a streetwise menu. He mentions vegetarianism, and the weird "unless it snows" at the end. All sung with a solo in the beginning, a rising chorus in the middle and the prince at the end. There's a lot packed into that tiny song. Not to mention its a perfect segue into the next part of the album.

Highly under rated and ranked as his worst...and it's a shame too. It's truly a great song.

LMFAO, my kids (who were 8 and 6 at the time) thought Wedding Feast was the greatest/funniest thing they'd ever heard. I had to play it over and over and over...

My ex-wife, who wasn't too keen on a lot of Prince, loved that track. She was a big fan of broadway plays, and thought that it fit in the context of the album in much the same way some silly little number would be used in a play to illustrate a point. I actually can't disagree.
