Wow, that was scary. Same time, too.

Reviewing "artist" (very subjective term in this case) that have covered Prince. Latoya Jackson and MC Hammer kinda catching my attention.

Didn't Mariah Carey and some other R&B legend do a cover of one of Prince's older (and therefore rubbish) tracks at some point?

Foo Fighters version of "Darling Nikki". have any of u heard this?? it is absolutely dreadful . Darling Nikki is one of fav. tracks off Purple Rain and when i heard thier version i wanted to put my head under my desk and weep....

i gotta say that i wasn't thrilled with patti smith's version of 'when doves cry'. it wasn't horrible, but it was just kinda boring and "why bother"-ish. i think it's really difficult to cover prince. it's something that about 99% of the artists who do it just shouldn't do.

I think thats probably one of only covers that's acutally better than the original done by Prince himself.
