I feel better about myself when I listen to Prince. I have depression problems, and often, listening to Prince can somewhat help me with these (as much as something that has no direct effect on the chemicals in your brain can ) And I just think that,overall, me listening to him during my teen experience so far has just made me explore parts of myself that often people my age don't discover.

omg that's exactly what happened with me! when my friend introduced me to Prince, i had really bad depression, and nothing seemed to make me feel better. but once Prince came into my life, i felt suddenly better about myself and where i was going. i decided what i want to do with my life. and he makes me feel no way that anyone else can. it's indescribable how his music turned me from someone complelety lost to someone who feels fantastic all the time. and that last bit "explore parts of myself that often people my age don't discover"... that is EXACTLY how to describe it. y'all should see my journals, and it totally show the morph!

Without a question it does. It has helped me through some of the worst times of my life in the past and even recently. His music has made me get through the day when it was rough and when things were going well, his music was/is icing on the cake. I thank God for Prince daily and the gift He's given him. I mean look at this site. It's bringing us all together so I definetly see it as a great thing.

His music makes me feel good. I can't go a day without listenin to him. I know he's made me a better guitar player cuz I love to learn how to play his songs. I was into him when I was a kid and loved watching Purple Rain and Cherry Moon. Then as I was going through middle school/high school I got into hip hop and didn't really listen to P as much. But now I'm back into him and listening to him even more than I ever did before. I can understand him better as I matured. What also got me more into him was when I saw him for the first time in concert in Denver (Musicology). I was just mesmerized when I saw that man in person doing his thing. The guy is too tough!

Yes, Prince's music makes me feel better. As I tried to explain to a non-fan yesterday, there's something about his music that pushes me. Some songs don't appeal to me the first time I listen to them, but then x times later, they suddenly ring a bell, make me dig deeper, make me discover different layers, not only of the song, but also of myself and the people around me.

I don't think Prince's lyrics are the best ever, but his music is really very special to me.

Very good question indeed. Well i certainly feel that i have changed for the better from listening to his music yeah for sure. I love the sincere way he sings about girls and i have found myself being more openly expressive about how i feel about particular girls more so than i used to.
