Prince mentions drinking some alcohol in "the holy river" & "the sun, the moon, the stars", but there was never a mention of him getting really drunk, so i guess it was/is (?) only about getting a little high with a few glasses.

What is certain is that he never tolerated his musicians 2 take drugs while working with him, & even Per Nielsen couldn't find any testimony of anyone who would have seen him under any drug (including maryjane) apart from the 1987 xtc xperience.

Lotsa people don't believe this & will tell u the opposite just because we live in such a crazy world that nobody wants 2 believe that u can b rich, famous & sex-addict without taking drugs, but as far as we know, Prince never did. He always took position against it in his songs, & as far as we know, it reflects his own life.

One more proof would b his physical appearence at 46 years old. There is NO WAY that some one who took drugs would look THAT young at 46. Drugs & alcohol leave marks on one's skin, believe me i KNOW what i'm talking about.

I'm not sure any more. After watching this MJ - James Brown - Prince disaster, I kept wondering ... if he had a cold... why didn't some tell him to use a handkerchief before going on stage?

But I don't really care... he can keep preaching about whatever he wants; drugs, one god or another, I don't care. To me he's a musical genius, and not a spiritual guide. Prince is a bit too isolated to have real relevance in another field than music. To me. So I don't care if he drinks tea or snorts some coke up into his nose. As long as he's willing to continue for another 45 years.
