My suggestion for next album: Graffiti Bridge. Should be fun voting off the obvious ones in the beginning (looking forward to some nasty comments), but then once they're gone, it'll be really interesting to see which songs make the top three... there are some gems on that album after all. Joy In Repetition will be #1 without question. Ofcourse not A Question of U will be number 1 without a doubt!

Why does everyone hate "Free" so much? It's the song that got me into Prince.

"One week in 1982, Prince had a twenty-four-track studio installed in his basement; by 6 p.m. the day after it was set up, he had recorded "Little Red Corvette." The song -- an almost perfect erotic fusion of rock and funk that builds slowly until Prince explodes into a guitar solo -- ended up being his first Top Ten hit. Fittingly, he wrote the overtly sexual lyrics in the back seat of a car but not a red Corvette: It was a bright-pink Ford Edsel belonging to Revolution keyboardist Lisa Coleman." -Rolling Stone DEZ explodes into the guitar solo! That's what I thought....

Yeah, I'm disappointed. LRC is by far not my fave. I owulda tied DMSR and LCD, and put LPWM next, but who's asking me?
I wonder how different the results woulda been, if we'd done these pre-Musicology. I mean, there are a lot of new ORg-ers who were either old fans who just got back into P, or new fans turned on by Musicology. I imagine both those groups would be more into the hits, whereas man more of us die-hards prefer the album-fodder. I'm not being a snob, I'm actually glad for the presence of all the newbies, but I am thinking it influenced the result away from my faves. "We've never been able to pull off a funk number"
