sorry to hear that most of u guys are just seeing prince in the last 10yrs ago for the first concert. I remember N.Y.C. somewhere eastside mid 20 st. Dirty Mind tour possible. HE wore almost nothing just like the album cover and I been hooked in seeing him ever since.

My first show was Controversy in Houston Tx Dec 20,1981. That show was jammin'. I was 10 yrs old.

Forget the exact date, but it was the second of the two July 1994 shows at Glam Slam in Minneapolis.

It was the concert where he played "Gold" for the very first time.

1986 Parade at Madison Square Garden for which he had to cut short because he twisted his ankle, Yet still it was worth the whole 45 min. I got to see him 3 more times and he definetely made up for it at the Musicology concert.

1986 - Parade Tour - London, Wembley Arena - first night crap seats, second night - 4th row, totally bloody amazing. He came out to the gates out back for a brief moment and I gave him a soft toy that was like a white dove. He carried it into the back door with him and I saw it in the car later on in the night. Met a guy who knew where the aftershow was and we headed off to Heaven (name of club) and met him out back, for a brief brief moment until Gilbert pushed him into the car. We then hot footed it back to the Mayfair Hotel where he was staying and saw him again, he laughed and pointed and said "how'dy'all get here so fast!"

Was a "fan" way before this but after seeing him in the flesh I became obsessed. He hadn't been to London since 1981 and I was a tad young for concerts then 13 or so, so this was my first oppotunity. So when Sign O The Times hit and no London Dates heading over the Europe was never a question, it just had to be done. And so began the rollercoaster of ride of my life. This story is how it all really began.

I should write a bloody book with the number of stories I have to share!!

96 or 97, not sure...A Love4OneAnother Show in San Diego inside a college gym. It was GLORIOUS!. I will never 4get the sight of that little ass man playing Bass and Piano @ the same time(it was the One-Eyed Bass). And this fool I don't know came out of nowehre and played this crazy ass harmonica solo during the ride. Actually he didn't come out of nowhere. He came straight out of HELL! Red light glaring and all! AWSOME! Actually b4 then I went to the second VH1 Honors Prince was at....not to memorable.

I don't doubt that the Time as a band were better than the Revolution, because talent-wise, the Revolution was Prince's weakest band. Musically there were not as talented as his later bands. A lot of casual, non-music fans lament that the Revolution didn't last longer, but they would have stifled Prince's growth musically.

ooooo I just loved this question! I actually wore a dress just for him! even though I was in the nose bleed seats! Sign of the Times concert was a birthday present for my daughter & it was my first live concert. I was so in love with his music at the time. When I watched him perform live I fell ENTIRELY in WUV in him !!!!

Wembley Stadium 1993 Act II - "Take my name, I don't need it. It only makes me think of the ways things used to be. You can slap my face, but you wouldn't of drank my coffee if I hadn't served you cream. Now tell me, whats my name!!??!!!

Easter Sunday 1993 Act One Tour in SF. I missed the DNA Aftershow, but had about 10th row center seats. Sheila E's sister (Zina?) had the seat next to me. I remember because during Gett Off, she was grinding on me, which was a bit troubling because my girlfriend at the time was on the opposite side of me.

I didn't know who the girl was at the time, she wore a white head dress thing. My friend who was sitting in the row behind me told me who she was as we left the show.

I remember not believing I was actually seeing Prince at first, because of the Police-Chain mask he started out with.
