The 1999 tour at the Universal Amp. Theatre. I remember it quite clearly because a friend made me late, and I missed both the Time and Vanity 6!!!!! chair

Since then, whenever we go to any function together, we DO NOT carpool.

I meet her there.

Yes, she was late to her birthday present of a concert one night.....but I wasn't

I actually wanted to go see him when he opened for the Rolling Stones at the Coliseum, but.....I didn't wanna sit through the Stones, and didn't think I would be able to get outta the parking lot if I left right after his show! Can you imagine what would have happened it I HAD gone? Me, screaming at a bunch of drunken, stoned folks to stfu ? Might have been on the news that night.....riot at the concert....

The "Jam Of The Year" concert in 1997.

Actually, I never went to any concert until I graduated high school in 1985 and had my own car. I was dying to go to Rick James' "Fire It Up" concert in 1980 which featured Prince as the opening act but I was only in the 7th grade and no one would take me. If Prince had ever come back to my city from 1981-1984, I would have raised so much hell that someone would have taken me. Unfortunately, he never looked this way until 1997.

Musicology Tour August 27 & 28th in Denver. These two shows put all other non-prince concerts I had been to too shame. I don't know if any other artist will be able to compare to the performance Prince & the NPG put on.

I had just started college. But I went with a few classmates.

Too bad the negative publicity surrounding the album cover overshadowed a great album and a great tour.

Not sure which date hmmm but it was The Gold Experience Tour in London, Wembley Arena, 1995.

Sh*t seats the first time I saw him; fast-forward three years and I was four rows from the front. Until the ONA tour, that was the best concert experience cloud9

That was tragic, all those seats in the upper deck. I got 15th row, side view, for 25.00. No one wanted to see Prince for 25.00?????

But I about lost my mind when he rocked that Bob George. I had only one month earlier FINALLY gotten my hands on a third-hand dub of The Black Album, then my Holy Grail of music. And me and my crew had unofficially adopted Bob George as our anthem.

So when he busted supafunky . . . it was a surprise. When he busted out Bob George, aw MAN.

1999 Tour in March 1983 . Radio City Music Hall in NY. Only Vanity 6 opened. Rumor had it that the Time were pulled off of that show because Prince didn't wanted to be upstaged at his big NYC gig (All the Critics Love U in New York ? I guess he didn't want to test that theory LOL )

Eddie murphy was sitting a couple of rows in front of me

After our Triple threat tour experience, my brother said The Time's band kicked ass all over Prince's. They were tight. That rumor may be true.

Emancipation tour 1996 Philly at the Tower.
I was sick as a dog, but I told my friend. ."you might have to take me HOME in a stretcher. . but I am GOING!!!" I almost passed out at one point. . but it was worth every minute.

My favorite show however was Musicology Aug 22nd in Philly 2nd row! I will never forget it for as long as I live. . at one point he walked around the stage handing out Jehovah's Witness pamphlets. I told my friend. "if it weren't for the fact that Prince HIMSELF handed this to me. . . ." It is now vaccum sealed along with the ticket from that night.
I still can't beleive I was within 3 feet of this man. . I shudder just thinking about it.
