Prince did not fire the revolution after the Parade tour in Japan, it was discussed that some of the members were going thier own seperate ways.if by chance you hear that last gig. Prince is damn near in tears doing purple rain and the mic is slammed to the floor. so NO the revolution was not fired but more like an ammicable split of sorts.

I think a lot of it has to do with finances at that time.

Actually he didn't fire them.

Wendy & Lisa walked, due to the strain of Prince and Susannah's deteriorating relationship.

Bobby Z. decided it was time to do other things, as did Brownmark. Dr. Fink wanted to stay.

I don't recall anyone being "fired" back in '86.

If I recall correctly,

Wendy and Lisa were going to leave, but he talked them into staying until the Parade tour was over. he let them go afterwards

He let Bobby Z go to get Sheila E in as his drummer

He wanted Brownmark to stay, but he chose to leave after he learned Bobby, Windy & Lisa were gone

Of course Dr Fink stayed

someone else can fill in the blanks with further details

Whoever doesn't have the DMSR book they should get it. If all is accurate, it's very interesting and answers a lot of Q's.
