Prince on guitar on Stevie Wonder's new jam "So What the Fuss"? At the beginning of Stevie Wonder's new song, "So What the Fuss", Stevie say's "Prince, pop it!" after a mic-check... The chicken grease continues throughout the song. It's pretty tight! I'm happy to see the old school representing again The link to the song is at the bottom of the article.

Because this thread was submitted to me for the front page this morning and I don't have the time to comb every thread for something newsworthy? Seriously, if you think something on here is newsworthy, REPORT it to me. Use the "report to moderator" link or orgnote me. But in a nutshell, that's why. | |

I had no idea that it was covered yesterday, but thanks for letting me know. I'm enjoying reading that thread. | |

i like it. it sounds like a return to his funky 70s sound, and not like the overproduced 'lite FM' crap i thought he ultimately doomed himself to. | |

Have you heard "Maybe Your Baby", recorded live in LA? Prince calls Stevie onstage out of the crowd, and it's just nuts after that... It is extremely funky | |

I think I'm the only one not really into this. Very pedestrian. | |

i dunno. in terms of music in general, i'm not exactly jumping up and down over this song. in terms of what stevie wonder has done vs. what he's capable of doing, i think it's a really promising tune. | |

I heard this song this morning on the Tom Joyner Morning Show in Chicago. I didn't pay too much attention to it as I was rushing for work, but I did note that I thought I heard Prince's name. Nice to know I'm not that completely crazy. perfection is a fallacy of the imagination... | |

I just listened to the song (thanks for the link since the other ones in the other thread didn't work ). I like it a lot. I'm a big Prince fan and a big Stevie fan. Hey, I'm feeling it! | |

I like it. It's not great, but I enjoy it enough. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Cool song. Not an instant classic or anything, but still good. Prince was fairly underused though. Might as well have gotten a session player for that guitar. Other than the name-check nothing special about the guitar. | |

I remember the evening well. They did "Maybe Your Baby" then Prince sat back on guitar while Stevie sang "Superstition". Mavis Staples also came up on stage and did "I'll Take You There" I remember Prince saying that Stevie was an inspiration or something to that affect. It was a once in a lifetime experience to see these 2 geniuses of music on the same stage! | |

----- Since when has funk become pedestrian. It is not the best we have heard from Stevie but it is the best we have heard in a long time from him. It is not a ballad thank God and I happy just to hear some uptempo RnB. Great cut from Stevie | |

music history lesson 4 those that feel that stevie 'stole' from
george clinton (knee deep) or snoop dogg stevie was the one of the first of not THE FIRST 2 use a moog synth as a bass line..which influenced bernie worrell 2 use a moog synth on such p-funk hits as flashlight, one nation and knee-deep..which sound was later lifted by..dr.dre.. so b4 u say stevie 'stole' check the original source how soon we 4get my opinion of the song is as funky as it's gonna get from a man in his 50's whose still trying 2 put something out 'fresh' so the 'kids of 2day' will like it and it will get airplay just like prince, stevie will NEVER be stevie of days gone by but damn...if this was andre 3000..this would b the second coming challenge:name me one so-called great R&B/Soul artist/musician that brought it creatively in their 50's and made it relevant minor keys and drugs don't make a rollerskate jam | |

Those were the days indeed...I saw three or four shows there, and they were better than any concert or aftershow I've been to. I think this song is a definite plus for Stevie...he sounds like he's back in form. | |

I like it. It's funky. It'll be one of those creepers. One's that you don't think too much of in the beginning but you hear it 4 or 5 times and the next time you hear it played you're singing along ..."so what the fuss?!?" Change it one more time.. | |
