I like them both very much but I will pick Musicology for the easy listening.

A lot of people like that song. It's no masterpiece, but it's better than everything else on the album and certainly better than anything on Musicology. to me, so far, so pleased makes illusion coma pimp & circumstance sound like a day in the freakin' life. i always thought so far, so pleased sounds like background music for a mazda commercial or something.

Musicology - MUCH better. I feel Prince is better of stiken to havin live instruments on his shit as opposed to anything electronic anymo.

Musicology by a long shot. We were just talking about this a couple of days ago... Musicology, to me, feels like Prince's "goodbye". His one last great "pop" album before he buries himself in more obsure (but still good) stuff like Rainbow Children and N.E.W.S. I'll be shocked if we see the likes of it again.

Kirky J's fingerprints are on Rave WAY too much for my taste!!! The instrumentation/arrangement is just horrid & bland. Very "plastic" sounding and run-of-the-mill (save for Linn drum sound used here and there), like the rest of current R&B radio. Pretty much all of his music from Emancipation to Rave was like this, unfortunately. So, I'll say at least one good thing about TRC (and no, I'm not one of those that love to bash TRC; I thought it was pretty damn good minus all of the rhetoric) is that it was a refreshing change of pace.
But, to answer the question, I'll have to BARELY give the nod to Musicology. [Edited 3/22/05 15:53pm]
