IM PUTTING LOVE 2 THE 9S AS ONE OF TH BEST SONGS EVER WRITTEN BY ANY ARTIST .....AGREE?

Disagree, don't like the song very much. And for me there are at least hundred songs better than this one. But hey that's only my opinion and a matter of taste.
Prince himself wrote dozens better songs and when we are talking of 'any artist' pfffff.... don't know were to begin.
To give an example: the Beatles - 'Come together' or 'A day in the life'

I like it, but it always strikes me as if Prince is searching for a
way out of the song.

The way he sings it and the way the composition stumbles over itself
it seems as if they're all just stomping ahead, not knowing when or
where a good hook will come up.

Erm, ok, ONE OF THE BEST (is what you wrote)....., but still, that really is taking it a bit far. Cool if you love the song, but there are far better just by Prince, never mind anyone else.

Take Good Vibrations by Brian Wilson - now that really qualifies as one of the best ever written. So good and complex, it took 6 months to record. Bags of innovation - it was light years ahead of its time, contained sounds of unknown providence, blazes with amazing harmonies, just loads of great things that you can say about that track. Now try applying that to Love 2 the Nines? Don't work, does it.

Seriously, I love the song you're on about, but you're love for it is obviously affecting your judgement of the track in the context you have proposed.

Any artist ever???? I don't agree. I mean I think this is a great song and it would be in my top 50 Prince faves, but even P has many more powerful, deep, funky songs.

"Love 2 The 9's" Is 1 of those songs that I 4get how much I like until I hear it again. It satisies on several levels. Greatest song ever? Which ever fish U wish, I say.

Love 2 THE 9's is one of those songs only Prince could have come up with one of my favorite intros too

Esco - this is definitely, IMHO a hot song - not sure about the best. actually, it's getting harder and harder to even have a top 10 list of Prince songs. The more i listen to his various albums (and other stuff) i keep coming up with more favourites

It's not the song so much as the arrangement. One of those crazy songs that starts one place and says "and now for something completely different"

I even like Prince's rapping on it.

I love this song! one of my faves on the symbol.
