Fucking hated this movie when it first came out - I really resented wasting 2 hours of my life on it. Now I see it as a cult classic as one of the worst movies ever made. The main character - not only couldn't she dance (or act), but she was at least 15 pounds overweight for a showgirl spot and wouldn't have made it past an open call. How anyone involved in making this movie kept a straight face I don't know.
Gina Gershon, on the other hand

Me too! It's fabulous - I bought the boxset last year (or the year before, whenever it was out) and gave away my old copy.

The audio commentary on the DVD takes it to another level - it's great to see someone else enjoying the movie on the same level.
