What songs would you like to see on it?

I'd love a deep house Euro mix of 17 Days.

It's difficult to think of songs because remixes can be so drastically different from the original.

I'd like to see some electro/house artists remix Prince though, definately no R&B or Hip-Hop mixes

If there were such a thing, I highly doubt Prince would be the one putting it out. Having said that, here are some songs that have had some pretty cool remixes over the years:

* When Doves Cry (Bootleg Speed Garage Mix)
* 1999 (Dance Remix)
* Erotic City (Wes Wallace White Horse Mix)
* Hot Thing (Extended Remix)
* Hot Wit U (remix from NPG Ahdio show)
* Ethereal Mix (from Cream Maxi-Single)

....and I'm all 4 anything that's house/club/trance/whatever as long as it's done right - meaning don't just add music 2 the music. Problem is, there aren't 2 many Prince acapellas in circulation.

In any case, it was marketed as a remix album, and I don't know what else you'd call an album that consists mostly of remixes from the previous release.

It's just a glorified Maxi-Single for one album.. a TRUE remix album, like the one this original poster was talking about, would have songs from other albums as well. That't what I meant when I said that Rave In2 was not what I would consider a "Remix Album"

I really liked that fan mix called 'The Afterworld' that used the line from Let's Go Crazy, that was one of the first things I ever downloaded in the late 90s, I thought it was great.

Warners were touting the possibility of a remix album a few years back with "guest" remixers such as Fat Boy Slim.

Never came off though it seems which is a shame.
