That "Pimp & Circumstance" song is starting to grow on me. For real, it is. I felt that the first time it heard it, I was a bit let down because I heard all this hype from people telling me how funky and kick-ass it was. But when I heard it I thought, "Eh.....it's aiiiight. But it would've been better suited for his Emancipation album".
I still stick by those sentiments. But as I kept listening and listening over time, it started to sound cooler. I love the beat and the funky rhythm guitar playing (some of the best he's ever done). Now I'm staring to appreciate the song a little more. It's a new kind of funk. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Liked it when I first heard it. Sounds nice and funky. His voice sounds cool on that one too. Paul G II

This is a funkngrovin song. I loved it from the first listen and is TOTALLY my fave from Musicology - he should have performed it on tour, imho.
This song is super fun to learn all the words to and sing LOUD in your car. I'm an adept car dancer when alone and this is one of my fave grooves!

I totally agree with, I can't even sit still when listening to it! Yeah! Sounds like he went to a club and heard some dancehall reggae-- then went and did the breakdown of that song. Life o' the party gets the Dynamic Savior Said: Also, do you think that ugly people are God's cruel joke on humanity (like the platypus and the heterosexual) or another form of population control?

Well I have to say the opposite, I thought it was the best track on my first listen but now it annoys me. Life of the Party has grown on me somewhat especially after I saw it on Match of the Day.

This is the first thread I've seen where people are actually
admitting to liking Life O' the Party!! wow well I like both of the songs but if I had to pick the definite hit on Musicology it would be The Marrying Kind If you will, so will I

OK, I still don't like Life O' The Party. I think it's the worst track on the album.
But "Pimp & Circumstance" is definitely catching my ear. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Glad to hear it NWF.
You are going to be pulling that funky face on this song from now on! The same happened to me with Lady Cab Driver. Never got it, then, BANG! .

I remember hearing it just before his concert started and I've dug it ever since. Damn near wore it out on the ride home. "be glad that you are free, many a man is not"
