Prince RARITIES: True or False? Hey guys;
A while ago I spent a small fortune buying several so-called "EXTREMELY RARE STUFF" from a Prince collector (which was a former highly ranked employee at WB). I've been a Prince fam since the 1999 era (although by that time, I only 'liked' him - my 'addiction' came after the Purple Rain movie). OK, so I wanted 2 check with u guys if they r really rare stuff or I was milked 4 sucker money. Does any1 in here have or at least saw the un-edited version of the PARTYMAN music video? It has lots of footage that didn't show up in the final version! For example: Remember the girl inside the tank where Gemini/Prince drops some kind of poison and every1 at the party dies? In this un-edited version u can c that she's in fact a MERMAID (with fish tail and all). There are several other itens (mostly extended, alternate or work-in-progress music videos), but also some "previewing only" copy of remixes, intended 4 - but didn't make their way in2 - the official 12 inch singles. Finally, there is also some Prince related artists music videos that weren't aired here in Brazil (don't know if they ever saw the light of day in other countries); Mavis Staples' "Time Waits 4 No One" (in which Prince appears) and "The Voice", Patti LaBelle's "Yo Mister" a lot of Carmen Elektra (i.e.: "Fantasia Erotica", "Go Go Dancer") and some other stuff I can't remember. The associated videos are hide to find, but it does sound like you've got an inside copy of the partyman video.
As for paying too much, it's a personal level. The only time I've had hard feelings is when people mis represent what the item consist of. | |

That's exactly my point! I'm sooooo glad I bought the stuff (and I'd sell my trousers if I didn't have the money 2 buy them!), but I'd hate 2 eventually find out that those itens I've paid my sweatet money 4, r in fact pretty common stuff circulating among collectors outside my country (Brazil). 
More details on the Partyman video: it's like a work-in-progress copy. As if the editors wanted 2 show WB execs (or even Prince itself) what they were doing. It has that counters running, several parts with no sound effects yet, and a lot of scenes and dialogs that didn't make 2 the official released one. I've seen a 'making of' of "Mountains" music video but this is a lot different. Also, there is a extended version of the "Thieves In The Temple" video, with the 12inch version of the song (that goes beyond the "Ahhhhh!" scream and goes 2 the "I'm holding on, the best that I can, love please let me be a better man..." part). I wish I had the financial resources to spend on bootlegs but I don't! Prince has over 25 yrs worth of stuff out there and I would never be satisfied with anything I got my hands on! I got's me a closet full of Prince memorabilia and out of date Prince calendars hanging on my bedroom wall. I got's nothing rare, I got better things to do w/my $$$$$ unless there's a video somewhere of Prince butt naked and spread eagle.  Haters travel in packs and they are offended or threatened by klhk, haters express intense hostility toward the subject of hate. Haters are annoyed and roll thier eyes when klhk is paid a compliment. ask yourself, are u a hater? | |

I recorded most of the material aired that weekend on video, but I don't know where I put the tape! 
This song is brilliant. Why is it never played on TV or radio? I mean, I can hear the latest plastic tune by Jennifer "I can't neither sing nor dance but I think I'm the biggest act on earth" Lopez until my ears fall off of my head,but such a brilliant tune never gets any airplay these days...   | |

I also love it (Time Waits 4 No One)!!!! But the reason some of Prince's best tunes doens't get that much airing is bcuz he's an artist that appeals only 2 the more refined, intelligent people - not the great majority (or as they say in my country "the ignorant mass"). Nothing against most popular artists though  | |
