If the apocolypse was tommorow....

And you were in charge of pickin' the 2 prince songs that would be saved from destruction, for all future generations to enjoy, which songs would you pick?

this means every other song would be lost forever.
try to choose songs that demonstrate as many of his talents as possible, whilst showin his persona.

mine:

the beatiful ones

and

the cross

Fuck that's tough...

Purple Rain cause it's my fav, and maybe When Doves Cry cause it's his best pop song ever.

I would've said Beautiful Ones, but I'd wanna pick only one ballad and one pop song.

I would trade my 2 Prince song picks for 2 of George Michael's songs and they would be To Be Forgiven (from the Older album of '96) and A Moment with You
(from the Greatest Hits album of '98)

But when it comes to booty's I would definaltly save Prince's before I save GM's! nod booty!

Thing is, in this hypothetical scenario, you have to think about what other ppl would need to hear.

That's why I picked 1.) Purple Rain, since it's easily his most definitive ballad, and 2.) When Doves Cry, since it's the greatest pop song Prince ever wrote.

So I think a combination of these songs would show ppl what a genius he was.

Hypothetically, you'd be dead anyway. This would be for future generations to discover.

I love a ton of 90's songs, but his classic 80's ones are still the best imo.

I have to admitt I don't care for a great deal of Prince's songs aside from the entire Emancipation album. I been saying it for years...Emancipation is what lured me to Prince's music, before Emancipation I was only lured by the booty
but the booty totally spoke to me in 1997.

EMANCIPATION RULES BUT ALL OF GEORGE MICHEALS ALBUMS RULE!!!!

Oh my god...GM...I've been stuck on "Kissing A Fool" for the past few days, because it resembles a situation I am/was in.

You can't help but fall in love w/GM's voice. He's so passionate, unlike a certain small man from MPLS.

Do you like that song though? I like it a lot because it is almost a carbon copy of a situation I am in.

"Anna Stesia", because it brilliantly shows Prince's spiritual side, and it has the best lyrics he's ever written.

"She's Always In My Hair" because that song is just a great jam.
