mmmmm....not quite. imho, as strong of a role the song played within purple rain, on its own it more than likely woulda fallen flat.

It's not like Purple Rain sold more albums than any project in music history. Another big hit wouldn't have hurt at all, so it's worth thinking about.

Let's Go Crazy was a mistake to release as a single IMO, and easily the weakest song on the album. Take Me With U kicks ass.
I heard Mariah Carey and Dru Hill's rendition on Mariah Carey's Butterfly CD and nearly laughed. So yes, other artists reall respect this song.

4 - Computer Blue
5 - Darlin Nikki
6 - When Doves Cry
7 - I would die 4 you
8 - Baby I'm a star
9 - Purple Rain

Let's go crazy, The Beautiful Ones, Computer Blue, When doves cry and Purple Rain to me are all-time favourites of mine! I love this album! Imho, Take me with u is the weakest song and indeed should not have been released a single - I mean, Apples simply cannot sing! What were they thinking?

Prince should have put "Electric Intercourse" on the CD!! Not in the movie, but on the cd as something more then the movie. Just add one more song.

I cant believe Prince never released that song? It is amazing
