NAME 5 ARTISTS U'D LIKE 2 SEE PRINCE COLLABORATE WITH

Either as writer/producer, musician, or vox...

Maxwell - As writer/producer

D'Angelo - As writer/producer/musician (And maybe personal trainer now, too? eek )

Erykah Badu - As writer/producer/vox (duet)

Raphael Saadiq - As writer/producer/musician

Marsha Ambrosius (Floetry's singing half) - As writer/producer/vox (duet)

-- With Maxwell's sensuousness mixed with Prince's writing capabilities, I think ole Maxy would be back on top

-- Him and D' FINALLY need to make A FULL FUCKING ALBUM!

-- Badu's vibe and Prince's aura would be some nice spirtual meshing

-- Saadiq's musical talents joined with Prince would be pretty damn tight

-- Marsha's unique and strong voice just screams for a "HCUDCMA"-ish type of ballad

I never was good with math, so here's 7:

Michael Jackson - For vocal experimentation and because it'll be history making
Jim Jam/Terry Lewis - They know how to create good music.
R.kelly - He also makes good music
P Diddy (To produce the remix)
EWF with Maurice White = For musicianship purposes, that just CAN'T go wrong.
Stevie Wonder - Need I say more?
For Rock-N-Roll = Queen, Annie Lennox, Duran-Duran...The Who

All the critics love you in NY!! cool

...except i'd replace Marsha Ambrosius with ?uestlove of the Roots and James Poyser. I'd like to see them do an all instrumental project with ?uest handling drums and percussion, James handling all keys and Prince on all guitars and vocals.

and I'd replace Maxwell with Lewis Taylor. With Lewis being so multi-dimensional it be cool to see him work with Prince.

If I wanted such a thing, I'd want it because I wanna hear something interesting; not because I want something to be brought back or re-introduced.

With that said:

Jill Scott
David Bowie
Sade
Thom Yorke
Billy Corgan

Thom Yorke is from Radiohead, and Billy Corgan is ex-Smashing Pumpkins. Not sure how you'd value them in euros or dollars...

Kinda sorta... with Common's Star 69 But Prince is buried so deep in the mix I don't think that qualifies. The only other slightly official pairing would be "Just Friends/If You Want Me to Stay" on the One Nite Alone... Live Box set. ?uest is drumming on that song.

Other than that they've never made any studio recordings together.
