It's all just a matter of opinion, but like Prince's new music or no, people still come here and talk about him whether negative or postive. I'm not a big fan of Prince's new music, but I'll still stick within him as a fan. He's interesting, he keeps us talking and when people keep talking, they keep thinking about you and they buy your stuff. That's how Prince makes money.

I have to give Prince a lot of credit. For all the negative press he's gotten over his lack of hit music and the many people who say they aren't fans of his new stuff and that he needs to get more this or more that, they still come here and many of those people will still try and go see Prince play live. That's not an easy task because most artists who don't make music people don't like, don't manage to keep that type of attention. Out of all the music people out there doing it, successful or has beens, Prince has to have the best fan base out of all of them. I've been coming to the .org for a long time now and I go to other musicians' websites, but Prince does have the best fans out there. They come in all colors, all backgrounds, with a variety of musical interests. Most famous artists out there usually only attract one or a few types of people and if you don't fit in with them, you aren't gonna be able to hang on their message boards.

So who cares if a fan can't let go and wishes Prince goes back to being his old self, these people are still coming here and giving the man attention and that's what it's all about.

You better change that Period to a comma, because Prince did well last year because he is the baddest Artist that was on tour last year, Because people are getting tired of the same old thing, because he gives the whole package, and because Warner didn't try to sabotage him last year,(everytime a new Prince Record comes out W/B release a best of Prince) or start some lame story about Prince being crazy etc. Last year they left him alone. He also did good last year because music lovers Love music and no one does it better than Prince. And yes he did the hits but it was more to it than that.

I always thought the obsessed freaks were the ones that don't like anything past 1990, can't stand the fact he's a JW, swore up and down after NEWS Prince was washed up and would NEVER, EVER have the kind of popularity he's enjoyed this past year.

Still, they're at every concert, buy every bit of music they can get their hands on, released or otherwise. Then they show up here daily to let us all know how disappointed they are with anything Prince does that doesn't conform to the way they want him to be.

i dont understand why theres so much hatin with his albums and material released post 1991..

classix:d&p,symbol,gold experience ,come,new power soul ar in my opinion as good as anything released in the 80s,but he omits such a different energy in these albums,

the songs are dense and layered and are far more complex than anything of the 70s and 80s songs he released

but,thats not taking anything away from the old material

I will admit tho,that musicology is a very mediocre album compared to anything hes released b4 ,,,i find rave better and thats an album i dont really listen to much cos it sux to be honest with the xception of a few songs


rainbow children should have been a style he stayed with ,

he brought back the funk with that album and lost it again ,,


i listen to 4 u and then i put on say,new power soul n i still get the same feeling ,,

i think hes made a few bad decisions musically starting with pulling the black album,but hes only human,,or is he??haha

mayb i need to go back n listen to it,but with the exception of MR MAN,i think only musicolgy is his shittest album
