You can bet your lunch money that, for just about every Prince song you've ever heard with a fade-out at the end, there's a longer version of the track somewhere. Whether or not it's in circulation is another matter.
There is undoubtedly an instrumental version of this track (or a version with a long instrumental interlude) -- you can hear it playing in Bruce Wayne's mansion during the gambling party scenes of the first Batman film. A live version of the track was released to club members in 2001, too. Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife.
