Deluxe DVD version of Purple Rain!!! We are coming up on the 20th anniversary of Purple Rain, and it is now the time for WB to consider doing a deluxe version of the film. My question is, what features would you like to see.
I have listed a few. Are there any that you'd add? Outtakes/bloopers Director/Actor commentaries Seperate music tracks Deleted Scenes (or a combined "director's cut") Documentary about making the film/effects of Purple Rain What else do you think should be on it? | |

I wonder what additional footage is out there. Warners could add the videos that were from the film. How about the extended IWD4U concert video. | |

According to Dr.Fink on that Ernest interview he said there was so much more to Purple Rain that was cut out. So I would love to see the scenes that were deleted from the movie!! | |

yeah i was watching the trailer on the dvd and it showed some different scenes. Prince went 2 get Apollonia 4rom the rehersal and he started fighting with Morris's crew.  "I'm all alone n the waiting room" | |

How about all the music videos for the Purple rain singles. I saw a clip of the When doves cry video and it had no film footage. It was a separate theme, maybe the videos to Let's go crazy and Purple rain and whatever others were not based on the film. | |

this is a lame post! no offense to the post-er... why don't u make a petition on this site and send it to the folks at WB... madonna's fan club has done so in attempts to try and get the Blonde Ambition Tour released on DVD...

If you see the trailer on the current DVD, you'll see clips from the deleted scenes. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

sounds good 2 me. although i dunno why it wasn't released in widescreen as some countries in europe have this but most have 2 miss out on the trailer 4 it.

I had the extended IWD4U/BIAS on video for a while until it broke and have yet to find it again. If a DVD came out I agree this should be on it. I saw an interview with a Warners DVD executive who said that Purple Rain wasn't in the works for the near future, meaning don't expect anything until at least 2004. | |
