Having recently watched the 86 MTV UTCM show I was somewhat shocked to find that I found Prince to look rather quite very ‘80s’. I had always seen his clothes/fashion/style as being his very own and independent of whatever the prevailing trends were at the time. Perhaps I am just getting older… but when I check out his vids, Purple Rain and his general look of the early 80s, I don’t think he looks that dated at all- he had his own style. Is this because he was fronting more of his own unique ‘look’ in the early 80s before succumbing to the shoulder padded trends of the later 80s?

More than anything I think he just has individual style
Most men wouldnt wear half that stuff in any decade
to bad though, Its sexy...but JUST on Prince I guess
