What is it about spring.... ("Shhh" appreciation thread) ... that makes you put on all those lustful Prince sex ballads? The same thing happened a decade ago when I was still a horny teenager and for my amazement I still find it happening even these days. Every goddamn spring...
For the past couple of days I've been listening to "Shhh" on a continuous loop -and can't get enough of it. I'd had almost forgotten how magnificient it really is, the melody, the instrumentation, the guitar solos (yes, guitar solos - those solos I can actually dig), and not least Prince's excellent vocal delivery - and female moaning on top of it! It's silly, but it's perfect! Genius-amundo! Irresistible. Vulgar, yet convincing. And let's face it, it's far better than most ballads on his 1980-89 records that are considered otherworldly classics.

One of my favourite songs. When he played it live last summer, I nearly wet my pants

agreed! nothing is better than just hanging
out on a warm day listening to some sexy songs, sipping lemonade watching the flowers grow. I guess its got something to do with the birds and the bees. "Shh" is perfect for that!! but since there is snow still lingering outside and its about 30 degrees here. I only want to say Thank you for adding to my seasonal depression you suck If you will, so will I

However, the funny thing is that the majority of babies are created in the winter. Why? It's cold and people are spending a lot of time indoors with nothing to do.

that was one of the highlights of the musicology shows for me - and when he put it together with 'question of u'? ay yay yay.
