the roots tribute gig to the 1999 album(where they played the WHOLE album)

was anybody there
i just think this would have been incredible....i think it was in newyork in 98/99

ALSO wink ..anybody attended/got any reviews of the ulysess gigs at glamslam????

I remember that tribute concert, but if I recall correct it
wasn't just The Roots who did all the songs, it was a bunch
of artists wasn't it?

I also remember at least 2 people on the org commenting on
their visits to the glam slam Ulysses show, so hang in there

Yeah, I remember a few posts about this gig at the time. Ya might wanna check the Okayplayer boards, as well. I, personally, wasn't there, but I def remember it, along with the buzz surrounding the Ulysess (sp?) gigs at Glam Slam. Try doing some Google searches, cuz they'll bring up old AMP posts at the time, too.

I remember reading about that here and on MTV.com too. It was somewhere in late 1999 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) in NYC. I would have loved to have been there.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
