is prince still making jehovah witness propaganda? on one nite alone tour during encore peformances of anna stasia ,
prince was saying his fans to trust him and to check the new world translation of bible. but i haven't noticed that he was doing that kind of marketing, on the musicology tour, or maybe he did? is his role in jehovah witness cult to preach to the masses on his concerts?

I heard that he handed out a few Watchtower pamphlets at at least a few Musicology shows after the final encore of Purple Rain.

yeah, he handed out some watchtowers after some shows during the musicology tour. that, and he put a little schpiel in about the bible during "purple rain" at all the shows, but he at least kept his sermon open-ended, not like he was shopping JW specifically. i think he kept his dogma on a leash with the last tour, but you know prince - he hadda bust loose a few times.

I think he made an edffort to keep the dogma to a minimum this tour, seeing as how it was supposed to be mainstream-friendly. Any amount of religion-specific preachiness might've cost him $$$ "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

He's lost a lot of money over the years by doing what he believed in and not what would make him the most money. Just a thought! “The only love there is is the love we make.” 💜

Just a thought! i think he really had his sights set on mainstream acceptance last year (probably a safe bet, huh?) and didn't wanna do anything that would alienate a large audience - he did let some sermonizing creep into the show, but nothing that would alienate folks, and he didn't go as over the top with it as he did on the ONA tour. i have to wonder what he's gonna do next time around...

i don't think it's a cult either, but you have to admit, it's a hard sell to witness to a mainstream audience and have the kind of success that he had last year. but you know prince - if anyone can have his cake and eat it too, he'll be the one to figure out how to do it.

Jehovah Witnesses believe that they alone are the one true religion. They believe God only revealed the truth to them. They are discouraged from befriending non-Jehovah Witnesses . They rely completely on their elders and the Watchtower to teach them God's Word instead of The Holy Spirit. They go to an average of 3-5 meetings a week and are looked down on if they don't. (God forbid they start thinking for themselves and become deprogrammed) They think blood transfusions are forbidden in Scripture according to their twisted version of the Bible.Something that has been responsible for who knows how many deaths. They view all government officials, cops, etc. as of Satan's kingdom. They blindly believe anything their elders or the Watchtower tells them without question and if they do question it they are told to wait for Jehovah to show them that it is true.(In other words, they will believe everything they are told with enough time and constant programming,3-5 meetings a week will do that) Playing musical instruments is wrong when praising Jehovah in worship according to them. Although its quite alright for entertainment purposes(no logic behind that one at all) They have given many prophecies over the years, all have failed. Do I need to go on,because I can. Yet this still doesnt constitute being a cult? Just because they may not go wacky with guns or hold themselves up in a compound doesnt mean they are not spiritually and mentally deceived and wolves in sheeps clothing. Read about the Pharisees in the Bible and see if the similarities between them and the Jehovah Witnesses are almost identical. The Pharisees wanted to stone Jesus for claiming He and the Father were One. The JW's will do the same to those who believe this about Jesus and the Father as well.

Her ex-husband is a druggie, but the judge saw nothing wrong with that ("it's reality, people take drugs," he said). So France is no judge in this domain.

Practicing Muslims are suspect as well, aren't they? If they weren't, there wouldn't have been this obvious sanction against wearing the veil in public school. A friend of mine just became a certified teacher, and one of the girls in his class couldn't wear the veil anymore, so she shaved her head. He felt so horrible about that... really felt as if her freedom of conscience had been taken away.

If Prince had given out Watchtowers at the show I was at, I would have folded it up into a paper airplane and launched the fucker right into his eye. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "
