Should Prince have backup dancers anymore?

Do you think Prince should incorporate a Cat, Mayte, Diamond and Pearl or any kind of female dancer on his next tour? Or would you prefer he not? I think he should, it definalty adds to the excitment and I just think it is fun to watch a really talented dancer. And Prince if you do I am available!! lol

NO!

Cat was okay, Diamonds & Pearls seemed temporary and disposable from the get-go so I just ignored them, Mayte was tolerable, Geneva got on my damn nerves, and whatever that mess was onstage with him at the Rave Until the Year 2000 show, oh holy crap, make it go away!!!

Just bring on a big girl who knows how to move every now and then, like he did during the Musicology tour, and that'll suffice.

No...they were corny as hell...and the guys who sidewalked were embarrassing. They fucked up the entire routine, I only liked when P used them as puppets. The girls were okay. I guess P didn't wanna be like mike, but he shoulda got guys from electricboogaloo like he did on the 84 tour. Mike has the full aresenal of Taco, Pete, Hugo at his service till this day. Jaime King was on the dangerous tour also. Electricboogaloo is still the best.

I don't think he should have back-up dancers anymore. I like concerts from back in the day when the focus was strictly on the music and even when the entertainer him/her self danced, it was strictly how they were feeling at the time and dancing own their own and not a big choreographed production. When I go to a funk or rock concert, I don't want to see a Broadway show.

I see nothing wrong with it, as long as they dance well and look good. Of course Prince would have to dance well too, and those days are long gone.

Really? You didn't like Geneva? I actually thought she rivaled Mayte in the talent department! God sometimes I would find myself watching her graceful butt more than P rocking out! lol

no no no!

i took huge exception to him continually pulling up large sista's as comedic relief during the musicology tour..it was rude, tacky and downright disrespectful...

*and* lets not even get into the cattle call of a nightmare during U Got The Look..some of them women should be ashamed of themselves.. disbelief

But even in the Rave DVD Geneva was still a backup dancer and Prince pulled a bunch of big girls to dance onstage. Remember that one lady with the short hair who just sashaed over to P and busted a move?

I like it when the band and the backup singers dance a bit
nothing serious, just a little wiggle or bounce biggrin
If you will, so will I
