Oddest person you talked to about Prince

Last week I went to a doctor for my 4 year old. She made a comment about wearing purple boots because it is "her favorite color" (you know why don't you. lol)
Anyway, the doctor asked my daughter if she ever saw Purple Rain. At first I thought he was talking to me and I was about to start bubbling over about how I love Prince, but no he was talking to her. She said Purple Rain?? No, but I have seen an orange sun. lol Then she said that Purple Rain was not real, pretend.
Then this doctor went on and on about how he seen Prince twice, (last time at the Auburn Hills first show that SOLD OUT IN 20 MINUTES!! He must have paid BIIIIG bucks to see that show), and has been a fan since the 80's. And then he started singing Purple Rain. eek His assistant was looking at him like he was crazy. And he looked crazy because this man was about 68, graying hair, the whole bit!

So what has been your weirdest interaction with a unlikely fam?

LOL that's funny.
Haters travel in packs and they are offended or threatened by klhk, haters express intense hostility toward the subject of hate. Haters are annoyed and roll thier eyes when klhk is paid a compliment. ask yourself, are u a hater?

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

This story reminds me of that doctor who illegally sold/traded drugs in order to get some concert tickets for the ONA show and got busted. lol
Hope that wasn´t your doctor ..

Anyway, I once had an interesting chat with a taxi driver, we talked about the reoccuring theme of taxis in Prince´s body of work and came up with different interpretations....think about Joint 2 Joint, Lady Cab Driver, Annie Christian etc. etc., the list goes on and on
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Huh that is a funny story. Funny you mentioned that, I was just talking to some guy about Prince last night at work. He was like "You kinda look like Apollonia" Just out of the blue. I was like, "So many people say that to me" And then he started telling me how he used to be a drummer and worked with Miko Weaver and how he went to Prince's house once and how short he was. He said he barely talked to Prince tho but he seemed nice. Something about me must just scream Prince fan. lol

I have this uncle that I've met like only once or twice, and the other day, since he's a JW, I was talking to him about Prince and how he's a JW too and made an album about it. It was funny cause my uncle quite obviously couldn't have possibly cared less about Prince as I was saying it.

Got the typical faked enthusiasm responses of "Oh yeah?...Hm"

Driving one of my dad's cars one day a few years ago and it dies. I'm riding with the tow truck driver and we're making small talk when IIWYGF comes on the radio. He starts talking about how he's such a Prince fan, Prince is the best, yada, yada, yada..

I say "oh really? did you check him out at the ONA show that came here a few months ago?" He says "Prince was here, when? What is ONA?" Now I'm thinking "oh, casual fan", anyway, we chatted some more about what Prince had been up to since the 90's and the mystery of how such an effiminate man can drive so many women crazy. It was an odd night.

I misread the thread title. giggle I thought it said "Oldest person you've talked to about Prince," and I was ready to start talking about the conversations that I've had with my 90 year old grandmother about Prince. smile

Heck, my first Prince concert (PR) I was too young for my parents to let me go alone, so my grandmother offered to go with as a chaperon.

Talk about surreal, imagine Prince at his freakiest writhing around on stage singing Darling Nikki, with my sainted Nana sitting next to me. neutral

Still, she said she had a good time, and even if she didn't I love her all the more for suffering through that for me . smile
