A challenge for the vinyl collectors I thought one of you might be able to help me as I’m currently re-cataloguing all my vinyl.
One thing I’ve found that I’ve had for years is a strange copy of the Dirty Mind LP. It seems to have the covers from the Zimbabwe edition (WBC 1483) with the different back cover, however the vinyl inside is something I’ve never seen before. It’s thinner than usual and has the very old “Burbank” Warners labels with the palm tree pictures on. The vinyl’s catalogue number is the more usual BSK 3478 but has WBC 1483 etched in on the run out groove. Any ideas ? | |

Wow...that is indeed interesting!! I have the regular Zimbabwe release with the black/white labels...would love to see a picture of yours! Very strange indeed as only For You has been released with these palm tree labels. Well...some Yugoslavian releases also have the palm tree labels. But Dirty Mind?! I think I wanna have your record Gav!
